1st Kilmacolm Anchor Boys and Junior Section Boys Brigade
We meet on Wednesday evenings from September to May, where we follow the aims of the Boys Brigade world wide.
ANCHOR BOYS is for young people from Primary 1 to Primary 3, and meets at 6 pm till 7pm.
The aim is to have fun through games and craft-work, and be part of a team.
JUNIOR SECTION is for young people from Primary 4 to Primary 6, and meets from 7 pm till 8-30 pm. We cover a range of activities and participate in the Junior Section Award Scheme which includes Games, Craft Work, Bible Knowledge and the Local Community.
Being part of the Inverclyde Battalion of the Boys Brigade ensures that there are lots of team events and competitions including-
Football, Bible Knowledge and General Knowledge Quizzes, Uni-hock Competition, Cross Country Running, Swimming Gala, 5-a-side Football, Marching, Funday Sports and Art Competition.
We participate in all the above events and have achieved the following over the last two years –
Football Summer Cup Winners
Bible Knowledge – Team Winners
Uni-hock Indoor Hockey – Joint Winners
Participation in the Christian Aid Sponsored Erskine Bridge Walk
