The group was set up in October 2006 in accordance with the Unitary Constitution. We meet approximately every month in the Kidston Hall on a Monday evening. We started by thinking of the needs of Kilmacolm village in connection with the church and as we have an enthusiastic group, various ideas are being discussed.
We are aware of the need of funding to refurbish the new Village Centre and to that end we are organising an Olde Tyme Concert in the Kidston Hall on October 5th to raise funds for the Community Appeal. We will sell tickets to the whole village in order to have a concerted and united effort to contribute to this important building of value to us all.
Professor Frank Walker will lead a short walk and give a talk on the history and architecture of Kilmacolm on Saturday 14 July. The walk will start out at the Old Kirk at 10.30am and will last around two hours.
