Pastoral Care Team
The Pastoral Care Team consists of over sixty visitors – being members of the Kirk Session and members of the congregation. Our purpose is to assist the minister with pastoral visiting, in particular those who are housebound or in long-term residential care; to inform the minister of those who are in hospital or have difficulty getting to worship; and liaising with the staff in residential homes, as necessary, e.g. making arrangements for home communion.
Situations of bereavement and illness (subject to the wishes of the member), baptisms, weddings and when new members join are also occasions for involvement.
While it is our aim to visit each member of the congregation at least once a year, it is our intention to concentrate on those most in need.
