Pastoral Care Team

At the moment, the Pastoral Care Team consists of approximately fifty five visitors – just over forty per cent being members of the congregation and the remainder being members of the Kirk Session. Our purpose is to assist the minister with pastoral visiting, for example, those, who are housebound or in long-term residential care; to inform the minister of those, who are in hospital or have difficulty getting to worship and liaising with the staff in residential homes, as necessary, e.g. making arrangements for home communion. Situations of bereavement and illness (subject to the wishes of the member), baptisms, weddings and when new members join are also occasions for involvement.
